I have written before about VOIP generally, and Skype in particular. My office phone is a VOIP phone, and I keep in touch with clients on a daily basis using Skype. Routine in the office already, and soon to be second nature for the kids!
Owners of Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP) will soon be able to use the handheld unit to make phone calls over the internet using Skype.
Sony said it would release a software update at the end of January that would enable PSP users to make Voice over IP calls over Skype.
Skype allows calls to be made over the internet for free to other users of the software, and for around 2c a minute to landline phones anywhere in the world (slightly more to mobile phones).
PSP owners in range of a wireless internet connection can call their friends while taking a break from their favourite game!
