Windows ReadyBoost is a disk caching technology that helps make your operating system and applications load faster by using flash memory for caching. The catch is it’s a Vista feature. However now, you can use eBoostr to perform windows ReadyBoost on XP. It makes use of XP’s prefetch data to cache files on a faster flash drive, and it can support up to four flash devices.

I saw 8G flash drives on sale the other day for just $49, making this a very attractive option, especially with older hardware with no capacity for extra internal memory.

eBoostr essentially speeds up your overall computer system by effectively increasing amount of computer memory and allowing more applications to run simultaneously without any PC hardware upgrading.

The full version is $29, however the free trial version has no time expiration and boosts your system for 4 hours from each boot up.
