Freshly squeezed internet TV coming to a PC near you now! In the not-really-over-the-horizon category is Joost.

Joost, the peer-to-peer TV sharing application from the inventors of Skype and Kazaa, has signed up more than a million beta testers and boasts more than 19,000 shows available, and counting.

Joost aims to provide a YouTube-like video sharing experience, but with authorised content, advertiser support and a peer-to-peer model for content sharing. The use of P2P underpins the massively successful Skype, which has attracted 220 million users to its free Internet calls service.joost

Although still officially ‘Beta 1.0′, it’s time to jump on board as Joost has now been pretty stable for the last six months and will probably transparently go into production. One million users can’t be wrong!
